understanding chart of accounts(COA)in sap fico

COA is list of General Ledger accounting(G/L) in finance, used to record all the financial transactions. Which helps the business to manage their finances by providing clear structure to track assets,liabilities,income and expenses.


Types of Chart Of Accounts

  • Operative chart of accounts is used by company code to post day today business transactions.


  • Group chart of accounts is used to prepare consolidated financial statements across different company codes.


  • Country specific chart of accounts is used to meet the legal or statutory requirement of the country. It is optional and if needed can be used in addition to the operating COA.
